2)Hart House Improv Troupe's Halloween show:

Expect a spine-chillingly hilarious time when Hart House Improv takes the stage for their All Hallow's Eve show... In the Arbor Room,
Tuesday October 31, at 8pm -- this show is entirely FREE.
Come on out for some improvised mayhem -- if you dare!

3) Wed. Nov. 1 Playwrights Circle cancellation:

We have unfortunately been obliged to cancel this week's Playwrights Circle, due to illness. We will be back on Nov. 15 at 6pm, however -- all set for another session of in-depth reading of shared works-in-progress! If you have a piece of theatre in need of constructive criticism, or would like to come and support the works of others, you are more than welcome to join the Playwrights Circle.

4) Wed. Nov 8 HHDS 5 Buck Lunch

Next Wednesday, the Drama Society is sponsoring a venerable Hart House institution -- the 5 Buck Lunch!
From 11:45am to 2pm, a detour to the Great Hall and a crisp five-dollar bill will land you a scrumptious plate of drama-themed vittles, and a spectacular afternoon's entertainment. Scheduled performances include a Hart House Improvset, a choreographed duel from Hart House Theatre's current production of Hamlet, and readings from our Sixty-Minute Playwriting Competition!

(Speaking of which, if you are a writer who'd like to try your hand at constructing a short play -- in an hour -- from audience suggestions -- sign up with the HHDS reps in the Great Hall by noon on Wed. Nov. 8. Audience determines the winners -- and there will be prizes!)

Hope to see you there...

5) Thurs. Nov. 9 OnStage! at the Arbor Room -- call for submissions:

If you are a theatre artist looking for stage time, then OnStage! is the venue for you. We are currently seeking performers who would like to join us for our November showcase -- anything goes, as long as you can define your performance as "theatre"! Questions or timeslot requests can be sent to maureengualtieri@yahoo.ca

6) UofT Drama Festival entry update:

Thanks to all directors and playwrights who responded to our call for Drama Festival submissions. The Society is currently in deliberations -- directors who submitted independentl can expect to be contacted this week. Final decisions in all categories will be made and announced by Friday November 10.
